Though they are shark and so many people would think they are dangerous, White-spotted bamboo sharks are harmless to people. It feeds much the same way as the stingrays, using suction action to "vacuum" or to take food into its mouth.

The females lay two egg capsules at a time, on average every 6 to 7 days from spring to summer or about every six days from winter to spring. The hatching period ranges from 110 to 135 days. Egg capsule of each stage is shown below with photos taken in UnderWater World!!
