Nautiluses are counter-shaded when viewed from the water surfaces or depths. They have light undersides to blend again the bright water surface when viewed from the sea bottom. Their darker tops blend against the dark sea depths when viewed from the water surface.
They somewhat resemble a pokemon hmm...
